Giant Knotweed in Winter
Recently on a trip to the Leiden Observatory with my friend Fem (follow her blog, she’s off to volunteer in South-Africa on Sunday!), I ran across my old friend the Giant Knotweed.

Thanks to a colleague at work who contacted an acquaintance at the Botanical Garden in Leiden, I finally have an answer to my question regarding the Giant Knotweed I photographed back in 2006.
It seems that people-in-the-know are not quite certain whether the botanists at the Leiden Hortus have tagged this plant correctly.
